Who we are
We’re Deana and Lizzie—two women of faith, survivors of narcissistic and spiritual abuse, and former wives to the same toxic man.
What began in heartbreak became a God-ordained mission to help other women find clarity, courage, and healing.
Surviving Toxic Relationships with The Matadoras is a faith-based community for women who are:
Questioning a toxic relationship
Finding strength to leave
Healing after leaving
Or staying—prayerfully, with boundaries, and discernment
We don’t judge the journey. We honor it.
Through real stories, biblical truth, and hard-won wisdom, we’re here to remind you:
You are not crazy.
You are not alone.
And you are deeply, deeply loved.

Listen up.

Just five days after the divorce was finalized, she uncovered letters and photos that revealed the truth: he had been living a double life with another woman—who had no idea Lizzie existed.
